RE: 1st Timer w/? & Pets TT or Toy Hauler??

I don't see any question? Lots of opinions here, but you need to ask a clear question. IMO try another post. You have a career as a WM greeter ahead of you.... How about her question - TT or toy hauler?

RE: Okay -- American Idol

David A. is a nice boy, don't get me wrong. But when I say he should grow up he should at least act 17. I've seen kids his age, granted not on a major TV show, perform in public without looking as if they would cry. Perform as in act, sing, play sports, etc...As you noted, AI is not your average stage play in the local theater. People react differently to the same circumstances - I've seen many people squash a bug but my DW still screams when she sees one - doesn't mean she's not "grown up".

RE: TT storage covering

We do not cover ours. Can't see the reason. Don't cover our cars (except the convertable) either. How often do you recaulk the seams on your cars? Hardly a fair comparison.

RE: How often do you replace your fresh water hose

keep the ends screwed together when in storage, this will also help in how long you can keep a hoseI prefer to let air dry out the hoses rather than screwing the ends together.

RE: Are we unreasonable? Recent Camping experience...

To the OP - you asked if you were unreasonable. Based on your recent reply, I'd guess some people thought you were. You probably shouldn't ask a question if you don't want to hear the answers.

RE: Dumping RV antifreeze into the yard ok?

gosh, I used to drain the antifreeze out of the car onto my lawn and sure enough a brown spot appeared that took a very short time to bounce back and turn green again. I am sure that stuff is more toxic than the stuff that you can actually drink. bumpyI hope you know better now (& not because of dead grass).

RE: Okay -- American Idol

Jason Castro is prime example of this. Not that he is not talented, but, as the show goes on, it is becoming increasingly apparent that his ability is very constrained within a certain level. Yet his fan base is keeping him on the show, despite his lack of talent.Agreed. A bunch of giggly 14 year old girls with cell phones are the only reason he survived the cut this week. The singing by Carly & Syesha this week was clearly better than Jason's.

RE: Small TT, screen room

Can't answer your question directly but can offer another option. Consider a free standing screen tent rather than the type that attaches to the awning. Less expensive and easier to set up & take down. Good luck.

RE: ? about add on's, should we add this or should we add that?

Get the fan upgrade - you won't regret that. We have an outside shower. Problem is it's right by the entry door. Can't see soaking the awning mat so we don't use it. If it were on the opposite side of the trailer, maybe near the back corner, it would likely get used more often. Good luck.

RE: Cheesy wiring

One of my first projects after getting a new RV is to rewire the "rolling fire waiting to happen". :EA bit over-dramatic. What's the percentage of trailers that ever have a fire?

RE: Survivor Tonight

I love it when someone gets blindsided! The look on Eliza's face as Probst went through the votes was a gut-buster. Has anyone used the "hidden immunity idol" successfully yet??

RE: The Marines are looking for a...

New Horizons does custom builds. I would imagine they would be willing to work on Universal design. Good luck.

RE: Apple vs PC Windows

I would make the switch to Apple but I can't justify the expense for what I use a computer for (e-mail, spreadsheets, internet, etc. - just the basics).

RE: Trailmanor-Highways Magazine May Issue

For what you get for the price, I`ll gladly pay the extra in fuel to stay out of a low quality Trail-Manor. sure they`re great for gas mileage, but the build quality leaves alot to be desired!I keep hearing people complain about build quality. What is it? My Trailmanor is 3 years old, like new, has not had any problems other than one loose screw. I expect to keep it for about 20 years. You keep hearing that "familiar refrain" from non-owners who looked at one for 15 minutes 7 years ago. That's why I keep referring people to the TM Owner's Forum or the Yahoo! Groups.

RE: HI-Lo TT

I looked at Hi-Los and Trailmanors before deciding on a regular TT. My biggest turn-off was you could only store things down low. You really can't store things overhead. It reminded me of the pop-up I was trading in.Another misconception. I would estimate close to 40% of my storage is overhead.

RE: Trailmanor-Highways Magazine May Issue

Personally, I would prefer a more aerodynamic nose on a regular TT as it is a bit difficult to use anything in a fold-down trailer when on the road and most rest stops really frown on "setting up" while there.Huh? On mine, I hold a button for 12 seconds, the top raises into position & I have a conventional TT. There's no inside set-up required. So if you can "hold it" for 12 seconds, using it on the road is no big deal. And the rest stop attendant wouldn't have any concern at all.
